Rear door speakers super quiet??

2001 Yukon XL (non-Bose).

Installed new head unit, amp and rear panel woofer. Also bypassed the amp.

The rear door speakers are super quiet.

I realize the rears are wired in via the rear audio controls on the back of the center console (which don’t work now).

Are these rear controls powered by the amp?

The rear speakers are receiving the exact same ohms and voltage as the fronts.

I’m thinking I should bypass the rear audio controls, but having trouble finding a wiring diagram.

Has anyone successfully done this?

I did that. You have to install 4(?) jumpers. If functional, try a search for posts I started. I will also try to find it.

Did you use solid copper wire? (If so, what gauge?)

Or the stranded copper wire (like the type used in speaker harnesses).

I used whatever solid-strand copper I had laying around. I think it was 14 gauge.
