ok so i got this 2001 tahoe ls about a year ago. Its only got 47 k on it and i never use the rear doors but the rear doors are starting to make some noise when you open them and are getting hard to open too. I have tried lube them or use wd 40 but nothing has really worked. I have read a few topics on here talking about them and even switching them out. But where do i get brand new ones? I have tried to look for them on the net but no luck. On someone els thread he said he got his at a junk yard, but i really would rather have new. Figured id post on here before i asked a dealer bout getting me some. Any info is appreciated.

no those are for a hood or the rear hatch. Im talking about the rear drivers door and the rear passenger door. Its that metal bar that slides into the rubber peice on the door. Im sure there is someone on here that noes what im talkin about.

when you tried lubricating it? did you just use wd40? or did you use anything else? my doors are not getting hard to open, just loud & squeaky.

yeah i tried wd, It did work for a bit but it did not last for long. I figured it's worth the 80 bucks to buy a set of those door checks, the newer 2003 and up ones since those are coated with a plastic so i never will have to worry about it again. Figured I already got the tahoe for a steal with only 47k on it. I have had it for a few year and i still havent put shit for miles on it. I only drive it a couple times a month. The only other thing i need to get checked out is a engine light. Thats prob just stupid sensor or something i would guess.
