Can anyone shed some info on this. It's the 3rd or 4th time I start the truck and get the message on the cluster " Rear Axle System Off". I play with the drive and mode controls and it only erases when I hit the "check" button on the steering wheel. All seems to be normal. But it's concerning. Any info???

Still under warranty? It sounds like the system is turning off the locking differential.

On other gm cars with elsd this can be caused by misfire, old batery, voltage issues, alternator, ground issues, etc.

I have a 2023 Chevy Tahoe Z71 with 19,000 miles. Whole driving on freeway I got a service engine light with four notifications. One was Service ECS, Forward Collision System Unavailable, Service Traction Contol and Rear Axle System Off. I drove it 15 miles to nearest dealership as it was vibrating slightly. Dealer said it was throwing a code about a cylinder 3 misfire. Three weeks before they could even look at it. They were surprised as its a 6.2 gas engine and not the 5.3 which they said had lifter issues! Super frustrating. Anyone have any ideas as I will probably be down with the vehicle for a month.

@BK613 - same issues on my 2023 Suburban Z71 with the 6.2L. I also have a "trailer brake controller unavailable" in addition to the same 4 warnings as you. Any luck so far?

Here is the whole list of errors mine drops when I start it

Rear Axle System Off
Service ECS
Forward Collision System Unavailable
Service Traction Control
Service Trailer Brake system
Service Steering column lock
Service suspension system

I had it in last month for the software update / recall on the brake controller. Its been in at least 4 times over the last two years I have owned it for air suspensions errors including one 2 week stint replacing the compressor and then the dealer needing to get someone else to come in and refill the reservoir to 280 psi.

Will try to drive it to the dealer tomorrow, lol.
