Rear AC control

I have a 2008 Tahoe Z71 that I've noticed the rear ac control unit stays illuminated. Even when the vehicle has been sitting overnight.

The unit is located on the back of the console/armrest. I unplugged it because it was warm and causing a battery drain.

Unplugging this unit caused the amp to stop working.

Has anyone else had this issue?

Well, something is obviously wrong. If you don't have access to a Tech-2 or similar to read BCM codes, you'll have to get a multimeter on the job to find the culprit; testing each circuit for resistance or voltage.
