Show me pics of a 26 mpg average tankful, or better yet an average over two or three tank fulls (because that is more real world), and i will send you my next months bonus.
Just came back a few days ago on my spring break vaca and here are my results from SoCal to Utah. About a 800 mile round trip filling up with about 3 full tanks at $95.00

Pretty impressed with this tank of a ride, either way if i get much less than 14mpg I would still care less about gas prices because I never considered gas prices when i made my purchase. Now city driving is a lot worse as anyone can imagine.

Again…those 50 mile average numbers are feasible when floating down the freeway….but they really don't mean diddly squat.

We just went to florida and back (few thousand miles) and got low teens.

That's cause you were doin' 85! LOL

Yep! Haaaaaa.

The tahoe was loaded down heavy with a weeks full of luggage for four, a heavy bike rack with 4 bikes, xl thule on the roof full of stuff…and it was windy as all get out while cruising down the freeway at 75-85. I sure didnt expect very good mileage, but it was a little worse than i was expecting.

Brand new High Country 6.2, only 200 miles so far, driven mostly suburban and highway. High is 19mpg and average is 15mpg. Probably on the low side because I’ve put my foot into it quite a bit playing around with it.

The average and best mileage are both 28.3? That makes no sense.

2021 Yukon SLT, 20" wheels with the 5.3, 4x4, and have 5,900 on it. Overall average is 17.5 for us according to the computer. Its as good as our 2011 Honda Pilot with a 3.5 L six-cyl.

I have the 5.3. Ive had the 6.2 in my Camaro SS and well its a meh powertrain.

Pretty happy with my first 5.3 coming from mopar and the 6.4 and 5.7 but those vehicles are much smaller. Im curious how the G Wagoneer with the 6.4 is holding up with mpg?

Just for comp, our 15 suburban when stock I would do about 24mpg on highway at 70mph
Seems "surprising" that in 22, GM didn't put a more of an emphasis on improving mpg.
Now I understand these are pretty much the largest family rig one can buy. and they should be taken for what they are.
We have a plug in hybrid that pretty much pays for itself compared to dumping 150$ a week in the tank of BELOVED 15 Burban

13/18 on Premium. I saw a test @13.5 mpg in 50/50 driving. In other words, it sucks. Big time.

Is it a diesel? Otherwise the DIC is lying to you. No way you are getting 50% better mileage than anyone else on here.

Its just the best of a 50 mile average…which really means nothing. If you are cruising slow and easy down the highway on flat ground or a slight downward slop with a tailwind for 50 miles you can certainly get up there with the gassers…but sure as hell wont average that for a tank full.

Like i say, the 50 mile best average number is neat to look at, but it dosnt amount to much of anything.

We are currently on a short family trip and I did the driving today. The most non aggressive, slow accelerating, fuel sipping, no more than 5 mph over the speed limit driving that is possible. Wife annoyed with the slow rate of travel kind of driving. Mostly 50 mph two lanes but a touch of 70 on the freeway, almost all flat ground with very few hills. After 140 miles the dash readout says 19.2 mpg and I feel it would be pretty difficult to squeak much more out of a 5.3 than that.

i get upper 20s in my 5.3 at times (50mi average). But you are correct, it is (mostly) meaningless. When I am getting that, it is typically a 50mi stretch that is all "downhill" (descending from the Oregon high desert towards the Columbia River.
