read door actuators

Ok, so I know this topic is like beating a dead horse. The actuators on our trucks are crap and they go out. I found some on eBay for $60 so I figured I'd give them a shot. Even if they work for a month or so, that's better than what the factory ones are doing right now, which is NOTHING. My question is, who has changed these out and how big of a task was it? I mean I'm plenty capable of doing the job, I'd just like to know how it may have went for you. Any little secrets that may save me from breaking a door panel or something.
