Question about transmission replacement.

So, I have a 96 Yukon in which I need to replace the tranny. It has the electric push button 4x4. I found a tranny at a good price but it's from a Tahoe with the floor shifter for the 4x4. Would that swap work or would I have to do some serious modification?

What year is the "new" tranny from?? There are differences in the older pre 95 models, 95 models and 96+ models.

if its push button or shift on the floor that doesnt matter only the year all half ton tranys r the same from my knowledge jus got to b the rite year
