Question about 4L60E

Does this look like normal to you guys? This picture is from the rear end of my old 4L60E case. I was thinking if the transmission case has been welded or repaired with chemical metal some time - what do you think?

This is picture from my new transmission case (used "new", and looks like normal to me)

No clue...looks like the fluid would rest in that spot. Not sure if that would cause all those stress lines etc

I've pulled a few apart and I haven't seen any like that. Hard to tell from the pic, but maybe it's just part of the casting that didn't come off with the mold/die properly.
