we have a lot of white oak and hickory on our lot. Massive trees. I kinda hope when we build we can have those cut and sectioned and taken to a sawmill to use the wood for the exposed beams in our great room. I think that would be pretty cool.

Most of these are oak. Not sure if red or white. They originally started saving some to sell, but it's not really worth the effort. I may have them save a couple logs for me, idk. I want to make a piece of furniture someday.

for reselling, yeah not sure its worth it. But I googled a few saw mills in NC. Looks like you can bring them your logs and they'll cut it however you want. Would be pretty cool to use the wood in the build, even if for a mantle or exposed beam, etc.

Well, lots of piles of stuff. Most of the home site is cleared. A little more is needed, but progress nonetheless.

This is looking from the "front yard" towards the front of the house

These are looking from the detached garage area towards the attached garage/side of the house. Front yard is to the left

Massive brush pile. This is the 3rd one from the home site clearing

These are process of the cut. All this dirt will be moved to the left along with filling in at the pipe area.

Still have another 5' of cut left to do. The first picture represents the crown in the land pretty well. Plan is to level the entire site, except where the house is going. They will 2:1 slope that sharp cut, to the property line and have a swell to divert water left and right of the crown.

Grass at the front is brown. Heat has been hard. On. it. ******* is censored. Gay

Play in 4k. This will give a better idea of the scope

nice video! Man you are wayyyyy out there in the woods. I dig it. I'll be up in NC in 2 weeks. I'll get some drone video. Hopefully I can fly as good as you. I never sat for my FAA Part 107 license. But I did take the pretest and pass lol.

I hadn't flown it since the last video. It had a bunch of updates so get that before youre ready to fly.

I get confused on the controls a little, obvious in the video. When I was flying it regularly, I got used to it pretty well.

I don't have my license. I just fly to max altitude that's legal and roll with it.

Went out and met with the guy that's laying the water line. Marked hydrant location and got a solid plan together. Supposed to start on it in the morning.

While I was there, I snapped a few pictures of the progress at the back.

Two of the piles of topsoil how been moved to waste side of the pipe and they have started pushing fill in the hole.

Doesn't look like much, but it's moving in the right direction

Massive stockpile of top soil. This will stay on that side of the pipe and will act as storage for when I'm done.

Water line is in. I believe they ran about 750' or so. I was short two pipe inserts for the last hydrant so they'll finish that work Monday.

They left that section exposed because I have some storm drain to install on top of it. Hopefully that will catch all the water running off the hill and pipe it under the driveway and dump in the woods. Just 15" pipe.

First hydrant at the front. Junction has a shut off for 1" main and a shut off for 3/4" to the hydrant.

Exposed waterline and 2" casing for storm drain crossing

Starting up the hill, 2nd meter box for shut off on main line.
You can see the catch basin on the right side. It'll go somewhere in there

Last junction and hydrant. This is where my obligations will end and the builder will take over from here
