ok. got bored today.. installed my new head unit and started the massive job of cleaning..
took off the drivers door panel and my god at the dust and dirt. looks like the truck got pulled out of a damn quicksand pit. just to clean the steel side of the door took a beach towel and 2 bottles of soap and water in a sprayer to get it all.. too all teh switches out of the door panel and started disassembling and cleaning with q tips and alcohol.. but now to the door panel.. how well do you think these will stand up to power washing for getting all the dirt off inside and out.. they are the plain molded red plastic.. and no matter how hard i scrub the dash and the arm rest i can get all teh dir out of the texturing.. i wet it down again and i see the dirt start running but there is more under it and more and more.. wont all come off.. makes the recesses in teh texturing look gray form teh dirt in it.. what kind of chemical can i use for the dash and the smaller trim pieces.. i am gonna try to power wash the big pieces tomorrow morning before it gets too hot and see what i can do about installing my new blaupunked door speakers.. i have had them for 2 years and never installed them in anything.. the time has come for some tunes

Whenever I had trouble with stubborn dirt on leather I used a toothbrush, oxy clean, and warm water. I usually test the solution on an inconspicuous spot to see how sensitive the dye is on the leather. Always worked great though, used it on all my old vw's with leather and my newer bimmer too. Good luck

Gotta do what you gotta do bud. I dont think it was a waste of time either. Probably gave some people ideas and a little how to here and there. Hope you get things cleared up in a timely fashion! Good luck! Let us know when you pick up the new one.

Next one maybe you won't start out in the hole quite so bad. Good luck
