Nice to see people getting great discounts now. 8k or more seems to be the norm for anyone willing to take the time and shop around.

Laura has a nice 15 GMC Sierra I've had my eye on for 12k off MSRP right now.

Need advice please

Would like some help if possible. I have a USAA offer in hand as well as GM Executive Program Authorization (Employee Discount). Most likely i need to use one or the other.

USAA -

MSRP $55,150
-$5917 off MSRP
=$49,234, plus dealer fees of $899 (which i will remove in order to do deal)

GM Employee Discount -

I have code when ready.

Any advice would be appreciated. Is the USAA deal good ?

Excuse me? You have the discount amount from USAA. You have an authorization code for a GM discount (either GEM or GEX...not clear which one) and you don't know the discount amount provided by the GM discount? Rather odd.

I apologize, i have the offer that I can get using USAA car buying service and I also have the GEX code. I guess my question is will the GEX code beat the current USAA offer that I have from a Chevy dealer ?

Thoughts on what to do ?

Poker, this is what that website says. Doesn't seem special at all. What am i missing ?

2015 Chevrolet Tahoe

Style: Sport Utility, Rear Wheel Drive

Trim: 2WD LS

Base MSRP $45,550.00

MSRP as Configured $46,745.00

GM Employee Discount Price $42,062.04

Consumer Cash -$0.00

You Pay $42,062.04

That looks like 8-9% off MSRP when the USAA looks 10-11%. Thoughts ?

You should get a better deal from GM Employee Discount...You can look up the GM Discount price on the GM Family First website(As stated above). Remember to take your USAA Insurance card/member number as you do get an additional $750 off with that discount on top of the Employee pricing. PM me if you have specific questions...Sticker on mine was 58k I only paid 50k with employee pricing...

I just priced a 2015 Denali 4WD 22" Open Road pckg, MSRP $71,120. GM Employee Discount $63,722. Over $7300 off. Then you also qualify for whatever rebates.

That's right around Laura GMC pricing, so about as good as you'll get currently.

Interesting how your USAA quote is a few hundred under GM Employee Pricing. Not sure how that is.

With the employee pricing, do you negotiate ahead of time, etc., or do you just walk into the dealer, give them your code up front and the employee price is the price ?

Let me ask you a question, what do you think would be the right rice point off MSRP for an on location 3K miles loaner with exactly what you want with the exception of color preferred ? Using the GEX code... Sorry for all the questions, thx though.

This is pretty ridiculous, and not in a good way, right ? Probably a decent deal with ZERO miles though.

Yep, that's horrible. Here is the wholesale prices for 2015 2WD Tahoe LTs being sold at Manheim auctions the past 30 days. They aren't going for more than $45K. I'd offer $45K, tell them that's the wholesale price. Maybe go up to $47K if it's what you want.

Maybe 47k tops since it's never been titled. Warranty should start at whatever miles car has on it.

Should be able to get exactly what you want with 5 miles for $50-51K.

Hey guys, just stumbled on this site and it's great! I'm looking at a new Tahoe lt with the destinations, luxury and trailering packages. Msrp is $61,295. I've got an offer of 2k below invoice before any incentives, which is about 54,900 as far as I can tell. I'm eligible for the usaa $750 so I'd be out the door for about $57,500. I'm just trying to make sure I'm not leaving too much money on the table. How's this look? Thanks in advance!

yes, i've done that, and i'm at about 7k off MSRP. Issue is the car has 3,000 miles on it and consensus around here is I should be able to get it to around 10K off MSRP. MSRP is $56,100

Todd305....you can look up employee pricing at www.gmfamilyfirst.com build it the way you want and it will give you the employee price.
