Power steering pump question

Greetings.
2 PS pump questions:
Can the hydroboost PS pump be used on a truck that does not (as yet) have hydroboost if you block off the extra return/flow tube.

I need to replace my PS pump on my non hydroboost truck but am thinking I want to add hydroboost at a later date and would like to save a pump swap.

Does the hydroboost pump flow more fluid/rate than the non hydroboost version?
I'm thinking the pump is the same and only the body/reservoir is different?

yes that work just fine, as long as you match the pump to booster in years and gvwr you should be fine.

so like in rpo codes all jd5 components or or all jd6 components for example.
