2009 Tahoe Driver seat will not lift rear portion, it just makes clicking noise. It will move front portion up and down, move seat forward and backward. It feels like one silver motor or the black flexible cable that connects to a black round box is vibrating so I thinks one of these, but which one? How do I remove seat and determine? Any suggestions? Thanks in advance !

I have the same problem with mine also but didn't do anything with it yet. Let me know how you fit yours and how you did it when you get it done. Thanks.

Ok, I found a metal spindle that is not turning has a white plastic gear with broken teeth. The gear is inside a black cover that you cannot get access to until you remove the seat. The spindle has knurled ends not allowing the gear to be removed. The dealer says the motor is an entire assy that cost 800.00 so now Im looking for a seat.

Dremel the spindle and find a replacement plastic gear. If it works, you saved $800. If it doesn't work, you're in the same position you're in now.
