Power seat forward/back fix

My 2008 Tahoe LTZ started making noise when moving the driver's seat forward & back, then stuck in one place. I ordered the Gruven brass gears, since that is most likely the problem. All the videos and the Gruven installation instructions say to grind off the front shaft rivet heads and pull the track off the shaft, then rotate the track to enable you to pull off the little gear box. I ground off the shaft ends, but there is no way I can pull the track off the shaft.
Anyone else had this problem? What am I missing? Any input will be gratefully accepted!

I saw the same thing and just ordered new seat tracks and, once I can find them in the garage, sell the old ones for about 1/3 the price of new on Ebay to offset the cost.

LT Tolman repaired the electric seats on an older pickup and if you search his YouTube channel for the video, it may give you some pointers.
