Power door locks unlock but only driver will lock?

All the doors will unlock if I use the Key fob (double click of course). Same goes for unlock button in car.

However, only the driver side door will lock if I press to lock the doors. The rest remain unlocked. I can press the button multiple times but is always same result. I have to manually operate all the other locks for the doors. I am not sure what would cause this?

Did you check to see if this is programmable in the DIC settings?

I don't believe my truck has the DIC? It's a 2001 Tahoe before the DIC display was added to the instrument cluster.

There are settings ( it’s in the manual) lock all doors in drive, at speed...etc... I don’t rem exactly but there is a way to set the locks ..... see if those options work then go from there

But does the 2001 Tahoe have a DIC? I dont have the display or buttons? How do I set anything? I have a BCM... My vette has a FIC and buttons... but I dont see anything in my tahoe... I am pretty sure it is an older non configurable setup?

Owners manuals for all vehicles are available online for free. They can be invaluable. I always make sure I have one for every vehicle I own. Just a friendly FYI.

will the interior manual electric lock work to lock the doors and just the fob isnt working? or the other 3 doors wont lock at all unless you physically lock them? might be a problem with the master switches on the door. i want to say the master switch set on the door goes from there to the other doors.

Sorry if I sound frustrated. This problem really SUCKS. Let me explain it's actually quite simple whats happening but definitely not a valid mode for the BCM to command. The behavior is not listed in the manual either. I played with programming modes and set for all doors to lock & unlock but had no effect on my problem.

1. Command doors to unlock - all doors unlock.
2. Command doors to lock - only drive side door locks.

I cannot get the power locks to lock the doors. It only ever locks the driver side door.

I found the wiring diagrams. Going to have a look here...
