what is your experience with lifters?

Failure at just shy of 13k miles. 2021 Yukon Denali with the 6.2L. I need to look at the build date but somewhere between 1/1 and 2/10 2021.

Not sure you are going to get anything meaningful (statistically speaking) from your poll. I didn't vote as my truck was built in October, hence doesn't have enough miles on it to be a fair test.

2021 Z71. 13,700 miles. No issues so far. Been driving in L9 the last month or so. Mine doesn't have the build date on the door jam sticker. So no idea when the engine was made. I picked it up Mar 2020, so build before then is all I know. Saw a post about checking the engine cylinder or something, but have no idea where to actually look.

You certainly need to include build date if it’s within the range that GMC has in TSB. If this is a basic design flaw as claimed by some then we should see failures outside of that build range.

2022 Z71 Suburban 6.2L bent lifters

Seems the bent lifter issue is still happening. My 2022 Z71 with 2300 miles got towed off to the dealer today since it lost power and had tons of errors/alarms. I just heard from the dealer that the lifters are bent. I waited specifically for a 2022 because of this issue, but it happened...

I did see this but I mean compared to the number of posts I've seen on here regarding failed lifters on 21's I was just wondering if the issue on 22's was limited to this one incident as far as we know

I had the same issue...mine was built March 2021 and had one failed lifter about a year later in April 2022 at 9,100 miles.
