Started to have serpentine belt noise, but not the typical squeak. May be someone have some pointers wether the belt needs replacement, pulley, or the issue is likely somewhere else. Thanks.

I'd take the belt off and run it for a minute to see if it's still there first.

If in fact the belt/pullies are the source, you could stethoscope around a bit. Or shoot some lube at things one at a time.

That's loud enough though, that I bet you could take the belt off and find it by spinning things by hand and feeling/listening.

Try the idler pulleys first, they are cheap and take 10min to swap.

you should be able to narrow that down pretty easy like Nate said, it's not your typical squeal, I would start with taking off the a/c belt first just to see you can just let it hang it wont hurt anything but the sound appears to be coming from higher up my first suspect would be that idler pulley under the alternator or maybe the power steering pump

Thanks, gents. I’ll take it apart to see what’s up. The noise does go away once the vehicle warms up/spins for for 5 mins or so.

I just did my idler, tensioner and new belt. Nice and quiet now.
Yours almost sounds like an electrical short.
