There is a line that hooks up to the bottom of the fuel pump assembly and it is totally inside the fuel tank. Think it's about 5/16". What the heck does this line do/go? Also there are two lines on the top of the pump assembly....can someone explain how the fuel is moved through these 2 lines...(and maybe the one inside the tank too !) Thanks......this on a 2012 Tahoe 5.3L

The line closest to the driver's side of the vehicle = fuel supply line and goes forward to the engine.
The line closest to the passenger side of the vehicle = EVAP line and goes to the canister.
The L-shaped line that goes in the tank is the vent line.

Thank you for this info. Wonder why they would submerge the vent line into the gasoline in the tank ??? Makes not a bit of sense to me...but there must be a reason. Seems like the EVAP line would do the venting. I would sure like to see a drawing/schematic of this. Thanks again Geotrash and by the way....how did you come up with your Forum name ???
