I know that's not what he paid for them, and you can get them on eBay for around $1,200 a piece, but yes MSRP is right at $2,300

Sad panda ...

They still haven't figured it out.

I'm giving them one more day to do so before I pull the plug on the whole thing.

You are going back to stock headlights if the DRLs do not work? I would prefer them to not work.

I'd like to have a choice if they work or not, I don't want what I purchase not to function as it is intended as a matter of principle.

Plus, one of the downsides of having this done at a dealership is that the service manager already told me he's not allowed to release the vehicle without functional DRLs. That may or may not be true, but as I want them functional anyway, it's a moot point.

Why? I like having DRL's...
Do not see the point of them. I pulled the fuses on the Yukon and will on the Silvy whenever it is not so cold out.

I can understand it being an annoyance but for such a small detail to have the headlights you want just seems silly to me. The dealership not releasing it is a legit reason though to not keep them.

What a crazy thing. Odd that this mod would negatively affect the DRLs

I guess it's because of the completely different type of DRL signal involved. The HID harness has a dedicated DRL signal, the LED harness has a DRL signal that is a low voltage low beam signal. In fact the LED harness has a resistor built into it just for that function.

But obviously there's something else that's affecting it ... my suspicion is that it may require a computer reprogram, which apparently is not a simple matter, as these are probably not programs available at a dealership level. That's just me guessing tho, like I said hopefully they'll figure it out by tomorrow, otherwise I'll just move on.

Serge didn't WaterKing do this conversion on Cadillac forum? I'd trying PM'ing him to see if he got it to work or if he just rolled with no DRL's.

I'm not giving up ... in fact I just emailed the above screen shot to my service rep to pass it along to his tech. It looks like there's a solution, now it's up to them to make it happen. I'm not sure what else I can do.
