c'mon the suspense is killing us.... like someone else said... hopefully this is like a joke and he got some flames painted the hood or something like that.

Has anyone ever had a fire in their engine bay before?

But to answer the question... yea I did in my old GSX. The damn oil dipstick popped out and oil flew out on my exhaust manifold.... lets just says heat and oil don't play well together. Luckily I was able to get it out before it got into a big fire.

This is why I roll around with a fire extinguisher under my backseat and I'm really **** about wiring. Seen some badass vehicles get set on fire, please tell us there wasn't a serious incident.

It didn't damage anything. Valve cover gasket had a cut in it, dripped oil onto the exhaust manifold and caught fire. We noticed it smoking really bad from under the hood, so I stopped, opened the hood, and glanced over at a small fire on the exhaust manifold. By the time I grabbed something to put it out, it had already extinguished itself, not even leaving any evidence that it was even there.

Right now I have a picture of my daughters in there for the meantime, even backlit with the blue LEDs in the cluster. I'm going to install a PLX gauge in there later.

Still working out a minor bug. Once I get that cleared up, TYF will be the first to know by way of video:cheers:.
Got a lean condition on one bank that I'm working on still. Lean + Boost = no more motor, so I really need to figure this out before making any vids. But even out of boost with the slightest touch of the throttle, I can tell it's got some power. Damn, I'm itching to rip this shiat up!
