nothing wrong FX-R, its an upgrade from the morimotos
Well today turned out to be an abject failure.
First the LS460s wouldn't fit, so that's about $300 out the window cause we had to ruin one housing and one projector to make sure.
The FX-Rs with 55W ballasts and DL-50 'fatboy' bulbs looked amazing but we didn't have shrouds for them since we had planned for the 460s and those come with their own dedicated shrouds.
So the retro is done, but it's off the truck till he gets the shrouds and seals everything up ... but we can't meet till 3 weeks from today.
Ugh!

It's alright, I'm getting over it.
Tis the nature of retrofits, especially when you're trying something new and different. We were about 1/2 a cm from making the 460s work, but in retrofit terms that might as well be a mile.
FX-R is a good projector ... the waiting sucks but it is what it is.
My health is also pending a retrofit.

Sorry to hear about that Serge.
But it is like you said, whenever trying something new and different, it could go both ways.
The FX-R seems a very good alternative. Please post up some pics when all is said and done.

Well I couldn't stand the idea of not going with an oem projector this time around ... so a new setup has been born!
1. OEM RX-350 b-x projectors (clear lenses)
2. OEM AL Bosch ballasts, potted and boosted to 55W
3. OEM Philips DL-50 'fatboy' bulbs
4. Gatling shrouds
Soon I will feel better.
