Opinions on Potential Denali Mods ...

One of the little customizations I'm pondering is to do something a little different with the lift gate lettering setup.

Right now lower left says yukon, the lower right has the 'gmc' letters, and like all yukons theres nothing on the appliqué above the license plate ... this makes the back seem somewhat bland and incomplete to me, not to mention the different size letters at the bottom left and right are unacceptable.

So my thought was this ... leave the yukon chrome letters on the lower left as they are, get the same sized letters that say 'denali' on the doors and put them at the bottom right where the gmc letters are now, and put the new bigger chrome gmc letters on the license plate appliqué.

I'm thinking this will add symmetry and a little bit of extra chrome to complete the liftgate look against the pearl paint.

Thoughts?

I was actually contemplating doing the same things with the lettering on the back.

Oh man, talk about an anxiety dream ...

I dreamt that my Denali got delivered and it was puke beige ... not only that but it had 80s style town car peeling vinyl roof, AND the hood was wrapped in velour.

Even tho its a 'shop' job...just not feeling them. Maybe a real life shot will change my mind but I was thinkin' some CK916's would look really nice on that Nali'.........

Not sure if you're stuck on going with 22's, but these are probably my favorite OEM wheel that has come on the fullsize GM suv's.

Jason, I'm starting to lean away from the 913s ... but I'm not fond of the 916s either.

Yeah serge I was gonna suggest 375s again but I though u wanted a totally different wheel. 375s are badazzz

i did, but the 913s I the only other oem 22" rim I somewhat like ... but less so as time passes.

I like them but can't get proper GMC caps for the oem ones and my personal preference excludes reps.

As far as I know they will accept the same center caps I have which you could make the GMC logos same as I did.

I only suggested those cuz' I thought you wanted a 'new' look. The 375's are beautiful but so are those 24" Esky replicas..........Hmmmmmmmmmmmm...sux to be you How bout some 22" Replicas ??

I read this whole thread just now, and I am glad you are drifting away from the 913's, not feeling those at all.

And I know you have it planned, but you should replace the taillights before you even drive it the first time.

My body shop guy is opening up shop tomorrow morning just to do that for me.

Had a some guys pull up beside me downtown a couple days ago and asked me to roll my window down, they were in an '09+ LTZ that looked brand new, they asked me what year my Tahoe was. I said 07, they said, oh, you changed the taillights? Yep. They pulled off and the Tahoe had dealer tags.

I think my G4's are my favorite mod outside of my AVIC. Though my new steering wheel may rival it next week. Last night I let a buddy of mine drive my Tahoe because I had to go pickup my '92 somewhere and I just kept admiring how bright my tails on the Tahoe were haha.
