Opinions on Potential Denali Mods ...

Denali is looking beautiful Serge!!! I'm sure you're going to say no to this but have you thought about bringing the rear down 2" to level it out? That'd look even better along with tinting the front windows!

With the color matched steps I'd personally say no to that and keep the power assist steps unless you're talking about color matching power assist steps.

Then I say do it! That'd look really nice. Will the color hold up to "foot traffic" of getting in and out of the Denali?

I think so, but I wouldn't paint the top of the step pad anyway ... I would paint mainly on the ends to follow the fender/qp lines and underneath.

I gotcha. Then my next concern would be how would it hold up to debris getting kicked up against it? Painting plastic is a tricky business and if not done 100% correctly can chip easily. I'm sure your guy would do an outstanding job, though

Well again, it's kind of hard to explain without showing you in person up close.

In order to have a l__________________l shape painted around the ss trim you don't need to paint underneath the steps, just the 1-2 inches that follows the angle of the ss trim before it angles horizontally under the steps ... that part doesn't get hit by much debris.

If you look at this pic imagine the plastic on each side of the ss painted, the bit under, and the bit sitting on the ground left alone:

That's subjective to the eye of the beholder. I notice it on navigators and expeditions, don't see why I wouldn't on a Burban, escalade, or Tahoe.

Sorta like when you painted the air dam on your hybrid.. Most folks would never notice, but to you it mattered.

Interesting you mention that ... I was thinking that if I color matched the boards removing the black from the side I would have to do the same with the front valance.

Then it would look awkard. IMO would look like if you have one of those body kits. FUGLY if you ask me.
