I obviously missed what the cause was. Was it the O ring or the oil pressure sensor? I was having the same exact issue and symptoms in my Express van but was never able to figure it out.
Yes it was the sensor. It was broken at the epoxy seal where the black plastic meets the aluminum bottom. The two halves were spinning freely. I'm surprised I even had an intermittent signal. I must have broken it when I used a plain socket that caught it wrong and broke it. A good reason to buy the Lisle sensor socket.

I'm pretty much in agreement with most of what was said about the torque. I did a Google search below and many say extension length doesn't matter but torque wrench length does. That's how I learned it in my early shade tree years.

Yes, torque wrench extensions can affect the torque applied to a fastener, but the impact depends on the extension's angle and length. A straight extension, in line with the wrench, doesn't change the torque reading. However, angled extensions, especially those at 90 degrees or more, can alter the torque applied. Using extensions also requires careful consideration of their length and material to maintain accuracy.
