That's good stuff. Better response from stop is always appreciated but I'm mostly looking forward to the thing having more options for those times when I want a little more power but don't need it to shift into the lowest possible gear.

That's right. It'll be a more turbine-like, seamless response due to the double overdrives vs. a harsher downshift into too low of a gear like the previous setup.

That's exactly right. They stopped taking orders for 2015s back on Aug 14 and are basically just producing closeouts through October 5. Order banks are currently closed until September. Basically, once an order can be placed, it's a 2015i for October 6 production. I would probably wait until after the banks are reopened in September to place an order. Otherwise a dealer could conceivably "take an order" only to be giving a customer an already "previously placed order" that happen to match one's specs. This would result in someone getting the closeout model vs. a 2015i.

That's good advice, thank you.

when do you think they are going to put the 360 degree camera in the Denali? I didn't see that as a new option for 2015i.

A marketing manager for GM told me that he didn't anticipate the 360 camera system to be released soon. Perhaps for the next MY; but doubtful. It currently is only an option on the 2015i Platinum Escalade only; not available on the regular 2015i Escalade.

I think this is a mistake on GM's part. The 360 camera is very handy and many much smaller, far less costly cars have this feature.

soon after they release the 360 view, they'll have a 420 degree camera as well.

360 people will be screwed.

Will be interesting to see what it brings. But won't pull trigger until 'Burb has the 8 speed. Hoping they get it to 24MPG highway.

RPO codes now available for the 2015i upgrades. Looks like the new axel ratio for the 8 speed is 3.23.

Thanks for the codes.

Interesting how GM is essentially forcing buyers to get the power retractable assist steps. I mean who's not going to want the HUD & Adaptive Cruise Control?

Now I really wonder what my ride will look like when it shows up! Still 1100 since March 15th.

My wife literally did not care to have either the HUD or the adaptive cruise. (I wanted it.. because I like to fuss with these things.)
