Any catch the solid axle swapped Blazer episode this weekend?? I have the opportunity to get my hands on a stock 96 4wd 4dr, that thing would look SICK with a solid axle swap with a lift and some 40s or something .... of course it didn't look too ******* TV. :D

Yeah I was watching that episode. Funny how easy it looks on tv and only one guy doing it... LOL. It did look trick and they gave good info on the axle and spring perches but that's about it... they said there was gonna be an issue with making the steering work but never said what they did.... but I did like how it all came together... good looking truck....

Was a good episode and a cool truck. It's funny how low they show all the costs at.... considering they are using top of the line tools, welders, ect, stuff that not everybody has in their shop. Unless you have full shop there is no way your doing a double axle swap for $1400.:)

All you really need is a welder capable of welding what ever the thickness of the frame is ... everything else is just hand tools. Don't need to be top of the line ...

He did talk about that, he used a high steer arm for the Dana 60 I believe.

That blazer is going to be a part of 4 show series. They are going to make it into a hardcore offroad rig i believe.
