Ok so I'm looking at a 1998 Tahoe 4x4 that is lifted (unknown height, but not much over the tires) and has 35" tires on it. I haven't been to see it just yet but I wanted to know what are some things I should look for besides the usual wear and tear stuff? This will be my first lifted truck much less my first 4x4. Also best case scenario, what kind of gas mileage should I expect? I may have to use it as a daily driver for a while and I drive about 350+ miles (mostly highway) a week.

I can tell you MPG is going to be bad. Real bad. Horrible even. 8-10mpg range.

aaron you might want to consider picking up a Geo metro in the mean time, your going to shoot your self in the foot having that kind of drive every week.
say 15mpgs on a good day X 30gallon tank= 450miles
$3.20X30G= around 100 bucks a tank :)
have fun
