Hello all! Purchased a red '01 Tahoe 5.3L less than a year ago for my wife. Has roughly 75k on it. Other than the oddly placed cassette deck, we absolutely love it. Looking to upgrade wheels/tires right now, but mostly wondering where I can find some technical/mechanical support.

Got a few issues like rear driver seat belt locking up and same power window working intermittently, rear wiper arm not working, etc. I've heard wire corrosion can be a culprit, but not sure. Just little annoying stuff that I like to work on myself, but not familiar enough with Tahoes yet, or where to go for good deals. Figured I'd come to a place full of knowledge and wisdom for my answers. :)

Thanks, guys. Picked it up off an older couple that apparently didn't drive it too much. If it ever quits raining, I'll get some pics taken. ha.

I'm originally a Jeep guy and have built a few rigs (97 TJ and '76 Waggy), but the addition of two girls caused a need for more space, hence the Tahoe. It's totally stock now but I'm really digging the all black rims on bright red exterior. That will probably be my first mod. Any suggestions on good riding wheels and tires?

Man, all work and no play makes me very unhappy. Here's some pics of the ride as she sits. Really trying to decide on going with polished aluminum or black rims. Thoughts?

Also, are there holes for the side moldings, or are those glued on? Going to clean up the panels a little.:)

Welcome and congrats on an excellent purchase. As far as the seatbelt goes, I know when you pull the rear seatbelts out all the way they lock up for child car seats. The window problem could be the switch or regulator motor going out. For the rear wiper it could be multiple things so maybe more info would be helpful. I'm just going from my experiences so I could be wrong but there are plenty of other people on here who are very knowledgeable and can help out. Good luck.
