New system

So i've decided to go with a whole new system in my truck. I so far just bought as far as amps go JL 500/1 and a JL 300/4. To power my kicker ds600 6.5 speakers and my 2 12" Kicker L7 subs in custom box. The subs are already hooked up but to a crappy amp I was wondering what gauge wire to run to get the best sound and where to get it. Thanks alot.

4 guage should be fine for a 500w amp.

Agreed, but if you think you may add a little more power later you consider running 2 or even 1/0 so you don't have to deal with it again.
