Same brand/size/age? No way! I'm not sure where you read that but im pretty positive that's false. I have a optima yellowtop under the hood and a xs power 2400w powercell batt in the back. Different size, brand, and probably different age. Been running my system for 2-3 weeks and no problems. :)

Hmmm really? That's some good news! Well I need to pickup another battery for the yukon. I already had the extra battery setup under the hood, so I'll probably put there. What battery would you or anyone suggest for me to get?

On another note, I got all my wires ran and hid. Man I had so much trouble snaking all that 0 gague, but its done and "almost" unoticeable lol. Hooked the amp up to it and it turns on and everything and is ready for the BTL. Even more good news, I sold my old setup for more than I thought I would (300). Just glad to get it out and move on. I'll post pics up of how the wires look and stuff. Hopefully the bank will be open I can deposit my money and order the sub tomorrow =)! Man I can't wait!

For batteries id go with Kinetik, Optima Yellows, or you could get something like I have. All good choices for car audio.

This is going to be sick! I've been looking at the Brutus for my 15. what do you plan on covering the box in? I wanted to go wild with mine, and covered it with a layer of batting then cow print fabric! did my doors as well and it turned out sick, plus it's custom as hell! Just a thought.

Hey did you pay $98 for just the 0 gauge power wire? If so, that's kind of a rip off. Also, how much did you spend on that Odyssey battery? That site says $250 which again is a rip off lol.

Well rockford is one of the best in wires, but it wasn't just power and ground wire. It came with the fuse and fuse holder, remote wire, ring terminals, crimps, and some other bolts and stuff. It was a little expensive, but I think it's worth it. And the battery, I have no idea what a good price on a car battery would be, so it may very well be a rip off. Where could I get one like that for less?

Dude the cow print is legit lol. That looks pretty cool, and is definitely unique. Well I didn't want to get into too much trouble covering the box, so I just painted it. First I laid down some truck bed liner on the whole thing, and got some stuff called "spatter paint" and put that on top of the truck bed liner. I think it looks good and it was pretty easy to do.

Oh well if it includes all that stuff then it's not a bad deal at all.

On that battery, check and see if any stores carry it because sometimes you can find them cheaper in stores. Like Optima Yellowtop Batteries. You can sometimes find those for $150 in Pep Boys, Autohole, O'Reileys, etc. (Got mine for $130 off CL). I definitely wouldn't pay over $200 for a battery. The biggest factor you have to look at are the cold cranking amps (CCA). Check out this battery though if you wanna drop $250 on a good battery: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/ULT-9050-160/

Would I be able to do my whole set up off that battery and get rid of the duralast?

How many RMS are you pushing? Because my lights slightly dimmed and I had an Optima yellowtop under the hood and an XS Power battery in the back, and with my speakers and subs I wasn't even pushing over 800 RMS. So you might see a good amount of dimming since you have that massive 18" BTL. :p

Man this setup is giving me a major headache. I'm trying to figure out what I can do to run this right, but I'm broke right now. Will I be able to run this off my stock electrical for a little bit if I have it turned down enough? I think I need at least a 150 amp alternator and probably a bigger battery still? I'm just trying to think of what I can do to have this working right. If anybody could tell me what I should do first, thatd be great. Buy the alternator first or battery? Thanks guys in advance.

Dear Sir:

I have been requested by the Nigerian National Petroleum Company to contact you for assistance in resolving a matter. The Nigerian National Petroleum Company has recently concluded a large number of contracts for oil exploration in the sub-Sahara region. The contracts have immediately produced moneys equalling US$40,000,000. The Nigerian National Petroleum Company is desirous of oil exploration in other parts of the world, however, because of certain regulations of the Nigerian Government, it is unable to move these funds to another region.

You assistance is requested as a non-Nigerian citizen to assist the Nigerian National Petroleum Company, and also the Central Bank of Nigeria, in moving these funds out of Nigeria. If the funds can be transferred to your name, in your United States account, then you can forward the funds as directed by the Nigerian National Petroleum Company. In exchange for your accomodating services, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company would agree to allow you to retain 10%, or US$4 million of this amount.

However, to be a legitimate transferee of these moneys according to Nigerian law, you must presently be a depositor of at least US$100,000 in a Nigerian bank which is regulated by the Central Bank of Nigeria.

If it will be possible for you to assist us, we would be most grateful. We suggest that you meet with us in person in Lagos, and that during your visit I introduce you to the representatives of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company, as well as with certain officials of the Central Bank of Nigeria.

Please call me at your earliest convenience at [Phone Number]. Time is of the essence in this matter; very quickly the Nigerian Government will realize that the Central Bank is maintaining this amount on deposit, and attempt to levy certain depository taxes on it.

Yours truly, etc.

Ben Ahore

if your amp is pushing 1200 at 1 channel, and is a one channel amp, then thats a no go. you need a 3 channel amp to push 3 subs, or 1 amp for each sub 1 channel means that there is only one pair of + and - to run to the sub

I HOPE YOU STAY AWAY FROM WIRING THINGS

you can run 3 subs off of a 1 channel amp you just have to know how to wire it to the right ohm level

but i had a few kenwoods and they really impressed me with what power they put out

Update: I ordered stuff to do the big 3, got some 10 gauge speaker wire, stinger voltage meter. Haven't heard anything from Fi on the status of the BTL. =( I am dying with no beat in my car, but the wait will be worth it. I plan to go to a shop and have them beef up my alternator, since I cant really afford one right now. Then when the big 3 stuff gets here, I'll be doing that. THEN after all that lol, get a dual battery setup going. That will probably happen after I get the BTL. Just letting you guys know what going on.

:party33: :D:D:D Just received great news!!!

It looks like the sub was finished, tested, cleaned and packed today, but missed the 3:30 UPS last pick up. Its on the pallet to ship on our first pick up tomorrow.
By tomorrow night at about 8pm Pacific time it will show movement through the system.

Please let me know if I can help with anything else.

Thanks,
Scott
