I got a new Pioneer 1800 AVIC. I want to know if i can add an amp the same wattage as the original and use the original power from the factory amp to power it. and also are the other speakers powered by the amp? So i can use the non amped wiring harness. I just want to add an amp so i can control the amp through the stereo. any input would be greatly appreciated.

Best bet for doing what you want is an alpine powerpack. Part number Ktp-445u. They're designed to work without the need for rca cables and a stand alone power wire linking it to the battery. Boost your power output to 45x4 rms
