new member help please

i just got a 2000 escalade and i want to put a new head unit, some component speakers in the front doors and get a new amp for them. what exactly do i need to do to bypass the bose amp and will i need to do anything special or different wiring the components to the new amp? im lookin forward to being a member on this site. thanks.

Lade2000 welcome if you are replacing your speakers with components then you dont have to worry about your bose amp cause you will be using an aftermarket amp anyway so just install your components and wire them to your new amp and you will be fine

welcome, you need a LOC ( line out converter) you can get from any car audio shop. Then you can replace the door speakers and hook up another external amplifier. If you plan to do all 4 doors, look for a good 4 channel amp of your manufactures choice.

I know you say front door only, but if it were me, I'd do a 4 channel now even if you didn't replace rear doors immediately. But have the power on tap, when you do...cause you know you will

thanks for the help guys i appreciate it. i was planning on getting a 4 channel amp, but i have read ppl have problems replacing the back door speakers because the window gets in the way or something? i was thinking about getting some of those 4x10 to 6.5 pods for the trunk. i dunno what do u guys think?

a good shallow 6.5" is what I'd do...you'll like the sound better than any 4x10

yeah but i have seen these pods that converts the 4x10 to a 6.5. what do u think would be better, go with good 6.5s in the way back and nothin in the back doors, or shallow 6.5 in the back doors and nothin in the back.

thanks fellas ive been looking around and pricing stuff out that past few days. i think i wanna go with the image dynamics csx v2 components up front with a image dynamics Q450.4 powering them. i havent decided on what to put in the back doors so if anyone has any suggestions that will fit, please let me know. as for a sub, im thinkin about re audio with a usamp to power it. any input before i make my order would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
