Hey. Driving to Chicago to buy this PPV tomorrow. Don't see many red police trucks but it was owned by a police department in League City TX...
More info and plenty of questions to follow. I've only read back through a few pages of posts so far

Welcome to the forum from Oregon.

Where in KC? I moved to Oregon from KC area 28 years ago. I used to live in Gladstone and my youngest brother still lives in Parkville and works at the Ford assembly plant in Claycomo.

Post more pics of your new to you, PPV.

Thanks everyone for the welcome!
@OR VietVet a little north of Gladstone. Take North Oak until it dead ends at Cookingham and I'm a few blocks away.

I'll post more pics after I get her home. Picking up tomorrow morning.

Is there still a way to get build info and RPO codes?

If I remember right, is Cookingham Road same as Hiway 291? My home I lived in/owned, that I sold when I moved out here was off of Antioch Road and 63rd Street. I used to turn wrenches at a shop, can't remember name right now, that was in the neighborhood of Metro North Mall, way before it was all torn down.

Use this link and click on "Tools" and then "VIN Decoder"

#1, if you are gonna live in KC, Mo., north of the river is where to live.

#2, that shop was the last place I was service manager at before I moved here. The same guy has owned all these years and I did visit him when I was in KC last July. He is so good at what he does and so honest, that AAA still uses him for inspections of AAA customer complaints on vehicle repairs from other auto repair shops. I would still be running his shop if I could have brought him with me out to the PNW.

Well... Made it home. I loved everything from my seat, wife loves the room, dog split time between laying in her lap and laying in the back seat... Happy family

Issues
1. Driving for 5 hours in the rain made it clear that the roof leaks. Probably one of the antenna holes I assume.
2. 2 small chips in the windshield (Safelight repair Safelight replace)
3. Driving side front running light is out
4. Service TPM light came on just down the street from the dealership

Nice truck! If wife and dog are happy it's a definite win!
I'm working on a 2014 Tahoe PPV over here at LOTO that is definitely not as nice as that one but I'm making progress. All of the leaks and issues are worth tackling as it will end up being a great vehicle. Most of it is more work than money.
The emergency light wiring is pretty easy to figure out. Search online for the GM Upfitter guide which will have the wiring diagrams. Some information is also in the PPV supplement to the owners manual. Definitely check the headlight and taillight shells as there are sometimes lights hidden in there.

Good information on this forum.

Good luck.
