Need a little help diagnosing engine noise....

Have a 2007 escalade with around 116,000 miles and changed the belt tensioner, AC tensioner and new AC belt. Now the noise is even louder and stays on even when I shut off the AC. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Why didn't you change the idler assembly and the other belt? What type/brand of belt did you replace with?

The 3 new parts are Dayco. The Drive Belt is not that old, but are you thinking I should go ahead and change it since I replaced the belt tensioner pulley? I will get the idler assembly they were out of stock. I'm shocked the noise is worse than before.

I just bought a new belt and idler pulley. See if this works.

Not saying it will fix it but whenever I go in to do a tensioner I do both and the idler and both belts so all is the same age. The group of them are known for noise problems. I fixed mine with AC Delco tensioners and idler and Goodyear Gatorback belts. Quiet as a church mouse now.

Just replaced idler pulley and belt tensioner. It was squealing like crazy. All is good now.
