I will soon have my tahoe out of the shop soon, I did notice there wasn't alot of bass in the stock system, I already picked out a HU, I have been looking into these Bazooka bass tubes?? I have been out of the audio loop for awhile now, i want bass but not so much I can be heard a mile away. lol What do you guys have? I want something that doesn't take up alot of room in my rig.

thanks

Yes the stealth box goes inside the center console. It takes some work and modifications to make it if. But once it's in they sound pretty good. Also you could try replacing the sub in the back with a better one and a external amp.

Yeah should be a factory one in the back drivers side above the spare tire tool compartment. Should see a perforated grill.

It all depends on how much bass you want. Me, I tried a single 8 in the factory spot, didn't cut it. Then tried 2 8's there, didn't cut it. Then tried a large 10 there. Didn't cut it. Put the same 10 in the cargo area facing the rear and just barely was enough. Then put the same sub where the console is. Much better.

When I bought my kicker it was 300.00, I've use it for a couple months now, sounds great!

I had a JL 8" w1 series sub mounted where the stock sub was in a custom fit enclosure in the back of my Yukon. Exactly what you are looking for in bass.

is this a budget build ?
you can always get a stronger sub and put it where the oem one goes. and i know that stealth box is $$$$$ but i know its worth it , its a JL

Sub to replace OEM

Sup guys, i have an 02 Tahoe and i'm trying to replace the oem 8" sub in the back. This is definitely a budget build so ideally i would want something with none to very little modifications required. Any ideas of a sub i can drop right into the enclosure?

I'm looking to do the same thing. Did you ever find an 8" to fit?
