So another member sold me a third taillight assembly, got it all painted, and the lights don't work. So I need to buy a whole new lens with working LEDs. Anyone got one they want to sell to me? Need to get one ASAP so I can get my whole assembly installed. For a 2006 so it guess I would need a lens of a 2005 or 2006 model where the lens can come separate from the base and hatch assembly.

Does it have to be from an escalade light, or could you use the internals from a reg third brake light?

I thought about that but the esky lens set up does not disassemble to be able to take the burnt out leds out. I have to replace the whole lens itself with either a refurbished or brand new lens.

That sux! I have the one from that 02 that works fine. Let me know if you ever figure out something to make it work. You can have it for $20!

So I'm modding my tailgate taking off the yukon trim piece on the top of my hatch and removing the small yukon third light, switching to the escalade third light assembly. Color matched base and the light lens that stretches all the way across. So I already have the yukon third light. I have the eksy set up but the LEDs are burnt out and currently don't have an option to replace it. This mod sucks. Its been a pain in the ass since the beginning. But I'm already halfway in to the mod. There's no going back now lol.

How much is a new one on EBay? I hope I don't have any burnt out LEDs whenever I get around to getting an Esky light on mine. But I'm just curious what it cost to get a new light assembly. Its just the long football shaped light part that you are buying, correct?

Didn't feel like waiting any longer and sending yours to get repaired? Sorry to hear that this mod is draining your wallet more than expected......hopefully your luck changes :Handshake:

@ScottyBoy it costed me $325. For a used one. The listing had detailed photos and all the LEDs were working in the photos. And yes that was just for long shaped light. Ugh. Just ensure when you buy a setup, you ask for photos showing the light working. Otherwise it's a major pain. I'm almost to the point where I wish I hadn't decided on this mod. But I'm too far in to not finish it. @OHSIXX , they didn't have any in stock and USPS takes forever to send stuff from here to tennesse and then back again and I'm out of patience lol.

Damn! $350 for a used third light? I would expect the entire third light assembly with the entire rear glass for that kinda money.

@ScottyBoy , If you get it off craigslist maybe lol. I paid $210 for the base and bad light. And then had to drop $325 for the second light. The caddy dealership @ the base of the mountain wanted $400 for a brand new light. Plus I'd have to spend $50 in gas and a half a day off from work to get there and pick it up. So $325 with free shipping ebay was the better option.:(

Dear god man what a nightmare. You bought it here ?
I was able to find the base only figuring I could find the light later, but didn't think they would be in the $300 range.
