I am working on a problem that may end up helping lots of people on the forum. I am looking for anyone who has a working navigation unit in a NON-Bose vehicle. I have a dealership that has agreed to work with me on this problem. As many of you already know most, but not all of the factory navigation units were installed with Bose systems, BUT there are some that are not Bose and have no amplifier. If anyone has such a unit please send me a private message. If this works like I truly believe it will I will publish the thread to solve everyone's problem. I know how many have wanted the OEM Nav unit only to find out all the hoops you supposedly have to jump through to get them working. My hopes are that just one out there on the forum has a NON-amplified factory installed unit.

You should have saved yourself the trouble and got an aftermarket HU......that's what I did and it was not hard to install. Just a few issues here and there.
I am guessing the reason Nick has low volume output is because if he bought the HU meant for Bose cars...it may have a very weak internal amp because its supposed to be installed with a strong external amp.
