Ok cool..an alternative to the strut mod. Is it the mcgaughys 34062 kit?

Yes it's much better then stock. I have to notch the evap tank bracket tonight. On big dips driveshaft just touches it. Once notched will be fine

got the lights wrapped. Doesn't look to bad. Ill prob paint to match down the road.

So much sleeker that way. That's how they should of came from the factory. With the vinyl only the bottom shows.

Any issues with the shorter links getting too close to the lower control arm? i think i need these as well as the stock links are too long, bar points up.

Nope. I also have bigger front bar

Been doing this set up for the guys that want a little more bump without spending $$$. Replace oem filter with green filter or k&n and then do this mod. Very easy and MUCH more air coming in.


Remove stock intake box and you have this small entry for air flow

get a screwdriver and pop off the front lid

Then your left with this and you can see how much is blocked off on cover and box.

4 inch cut off wheel cut the cover but do not cut the locking tabs on it

Left with this. Ill clean it up with a dremmel

cut the box plastic and then clip the cover back on

Remember, the bar moves with the control arm.

I love your whip Brother! Tony ....I am getting ready to start dropping my 07 Tahoe 2wd LS. I think I am going to have to make a road trip to Norcal to get it dropped and have you bless my whip with your skills! LOL....
