My 2004 Tahoe throws a P0443 code intermittently. I know it has something to do with the EVAP system. Can anybody be a little more specific and may have an idea what I should look for? Thanks

Most likely internal to the purge valve on the engine. If you don't have a way to test the electrical switching (test lights are cheap) like he does in the video below, you could just replace the purge valve. No guarantees without an actual diagnosis.

On my 05, I had read so many posts here about these NBS rigs with evap problems and single parts replacement not working and money/parts thrown at the problem. So, I just replaced the entire evap system. Never a problem since and use GM parts.
