Looking for a dash cam and have seen some makes use a Donger power cord that attaches to the back of the powered mirror. Anyone here know if there is a easy to use product like this for GMC? Donger lists every make but GM.

They probably don't make one for the newer trucks because there isn't an ignition controlled power wire at the mirror. A few years back they started doing away with ignition and accessory wires in the vehicle for the most part. Pretty everything is databus controlled. Basically the computer senda a data signal to tell it to turn on, instead of the ignition switch just turning it on. So you must likely have no choice but to run an ignition powered wire from the fuse block up to your dash camera.

I haven't seen the upper consoles on the 21+ but if there is a airbag light/indicator you can tap power off of that.

it seems to me that power can be taken from the control unit on the ceiling, where the sunroof control is

Here is the Mirror connector pinout for Yukons on the 2022, should be the same for the 21 and 23. Pin 2 (Violet) should be your ignition wire at 12V and pin 5 (Black) should be your ground. You would need to step down the 12V from the vehicle to 5V 1A (dashcams are basically glorified webcams) using something like this.

I ordered this dash cam (front and rear) and plan to install it today/tomorrow. It has the correct mirror harness.

Looks interesting, but only 5 reviews & the guy who actually paid for it gives it 1 star....please update on how it works out for you.

I have a friend who installed one in his BMW and said it's been awesome, as well as his VW. So, I decided to not pay too close of attention to the specific reviews for the Yukon. But, should know later this afternoon when I decide to tackle it.

I have one on my 21 High Country that powers my Redline 360.
