mig welder and bunch of flatbar.

So in my metal shop we have a bunch of flat bar laying around what could i make out of it for my tahoe? i am questioning my self on a light bar and stuff but any ideas?

what size flat bar are you working with?

all sorts of sizes really ill have to measure it today in shop if i can but I am thinking about making a storage box under my driver side second row seat.

make a roof rack and thow some tabs on it for lights..

I've been toying with the idea of taking off my stock roof rack, and building a stronger one that is the full length of the roof (from the hatch to the windshield). I carry ladders a lot for work, I'd fab in hook points for tie-down straps.

If you put rails around it about 4" high, it'd be a sweet cargo carrier, AND give you a place to mount lights. Hell, you could do forward facing floods, auxiliary backup lights, and even floods to the sides....

Now how would i bolt this down? My hoe was a ex cop car so i have no way to bolt it down but does anyone have any idea how?
