Anyone see or experience this, or have a clue?

Dealer says it's showing MP hold, but vinview shows it is pending dispatch.

I feel like there were a few in this thread it happened to.

***Built April 14th and shipped to Midlothian
Moved back to Arlington June 24th

Where are you located? United Road only services part of the country. As far as being transported back to Arlington, they are probably staging as many vehicles there as they can so they are ready the moment the chips show up from the supplier. You're in a better position than most of us. My Denali has been in Midlothian since 4/13.

Toronto Ontario

The fact it shows as dealer inventory must mean something positive.

Typical GM not making sense

Looking forward to start seeing 2023 Tahoes with my package selection start showing up "in transit" while my 2022 bakes in Texas. Anyone on here submitting "backup" orders for a 2023 with another dealership?

Is it in the plant, or across the waybat jack cooper?
This is exactly what was said about my original order; it's still sitting there and as of last Monday, NO ETA and the Executive team basically said that I should look into other options, so I did. I'm going to keep the lines of communication open, because I'm legit curious when/if it will show up. Been sitting since 04/12 where it sat in midlothian for 12 weeks and then it moved to Arlington from Midlothian on/around 06/22 and it's still there...
I looked closer at the VINView he sent me on June 22nd, and it was sitting in Midlothian. I texted him and he said he is looking into it.‍

The dealer that I originally was working with claimed that a Tahoe showed up in their lot that never had a window sticker and they were never invoices for. This was as I was confronting them about conning me into putting a deposit down in a Tahoe that they knew had been built and sitting for months already. So take that with a grain of salt. But maybe?

exception bias

anyone on here shopping/ordering should take any info on here with a grain of salt for sure (referencing everyone else's comments - not just yours), but in turn use the info to question the dealer...like your situation above, my next question would've been...what normally occurs?

If you go by the VINview they've been using a hardware shop in Grand Prairie to help finish production. At least that's where mine had went to at one point, lol.

I certainly hope they are not driving our cars to these places. I don't want to receive a new vehicle with 500 kms on it

Unfortunately, it’s likely that he can’t get it bc the vehicle isn’t actually complete and it’s waiting for parts/chips. Seems like WS are only given once a vehicle is 100% and ready for shipping. Most of us in here don’t have WS either.
…….and here is the confirmation that it is waiting on chips.

I've got the option to reserve a yukon Denali that has a window sticker and shoes up as in transit on the gmc website. Dealer is in arkansas. Anyone have any insight on how long shipping usually takes? I know that everything is questionable right now but considering I still don't have any updates on the tahoe we ordered in February, I am really considering it.

Pretty sure they were just completely full of it and lying to me…yet again. I had just told them I was concerned bc it didn’t have a WS even though they had told me it was built and waiting for shipment prior to me putting down a deposit. He said “oh, don’t worry! We actually just got one in that didn’t have a WS!” Okay bud.

I would take it. Mine took about a 4 weeks from WS being visible to delivery, but mostly because of the delays in transit from final rail yard to the dealership (the trucks were backlogged).

That's awesome, glad to see some movement within the group.

Could you remind us of some key dates and partial vin?

My TPW was 3/28, but it went straight to Mid right after it was built on 4/5. Then it sat there until around 6/10 when my dealer said it was getting loaded for delivery. Then took about 4 or 5 weeks to actually get to the dealer due to issues with the trains & trucks.

Mine is a Yukon XL Denali for reference.

yep...they all have a narrative for sure

talked to a dealer over the weekend - they were $4k over. he said that if we were trading something in the markup just evens out the current market increases on the used side. i held my tongue because i wanted to ask if the markup was still applied if we didn't trade anything in

Finally, my Tahoe has reached the dealership. Quite a journey for me. I'll place the timeline below as a reference point for fellow members going through this travesty of waiting for their car to arrive. Salesman sent me some pictures today. I won't be able to pick it up until Saturday (Dealer is 2.5 hours away). Hang in there Boys...your Rigs soon come.

Vin# ending in 337804

12/6/2021: Ordered
6/10/2022: Accepted
6/20/2022: TPW
6/23/2022: Produced
7/6/2022: Invoice & Window Sticker (Dealer provided).
Shipping status pending per GM chat.
7/8/2022: Made aware of United Road site. Checked VIN and VIN is showing status "Inactive" on the website.
7/20/2022: Per United Road site, shipping status changed from "Inactive" to "Pending Pick Up".
7/26/2022: Tahoe delivered to dealership.

Special Thank You to United Road website for allowing me to keep my sanity vs GM chat / GM customer service

pretty quick turn around once it was accepted...in all phases...removed the first line item and it's pretty impressive. Wonder how many Tahoes the dealer went through before yours was accepted...

I would take it… I’m in the same situation. My Tahoe was built in Mid April and still showing MP status. I found a similar build at a dealer 3 hours away for msrp and picking up Saturday. I figure if my order ever did show up I could consider trading (if used values are still high) since my original order had an msrp that was 2300 below the current price.

Just got a text from my dealer early this morning that my Tahoe made it out of Texas and is in Louisiana. (I didn't know they shipped them across the Gulf to Florida!) So that means it sat about a week in Arlington after sitting for almost a month in Midlothian TX, after being produced on 6/15. For those that are still waiting your time is surely coming since they seem to be clearing things out finally. I'm sure that hardware shop in Grand Prairie has been very busy!
