The sad part about this, meaning my situation and others as I read this post is that lack of information that can be obtained from GM customer service / chat. I get the generic responses of shipping is being arranged, to awaiting for semi conductor to vehicle is in transit then back to any of the 3 at any given time when I contact them again. It’s all over the place. Ill ask a basic question such as Midlothian or Arlington and rep can’t even verify or confirm which location the car is at. Quite annoyed with this whole process.

RST 6.2 sport pkg w/ pano & sliding console.

-Ordered: 12-6-2021
-Order accepted: 6-10-2022
-TPW: 6-20-2022
-Production: 6-23-2022
-Invoice / Window sticker provided to me by dealer: 7/6/2022.

On 7-15-2022, per chat, unit is currently in transit heading toward Florida. Now if this is factual, no telling. SMH.

I hope what the chat advisor told you was true. My truck was event code 3800 on 6/23 as well. I did another Chevy chat this morning and the rep was completely useless. She contradicted her information more than once.

I called the escalation number and got someone named Dameca. She stated she cannot see the VIN in VINview and was unable to view any event codes. She stated that she was able to see something that showed my vehicle as incomplete. However she was not able to see its location and I did not think she sounded too confident with what she was providing me.

She informed me that vehicles at a production date in late June were not expected to ship until 12-13 weeks out. I have no idea what to think at this point and will send Mary B an email to exhaust all of my options. She was on CNBC last week stating that GM is dealing with their issues on a "weekly basis". Absolutely flummoxed at this s--- show.

2022 5.3L Z71 Suburban: lux pack, pano roof and 2nd row buckets.

Event code 3800 as of 6/23 with no WS.

Hmmm. I'd attempt another GM chat rep. Just wrote them again this morning and they have reconfirmed that the unit has shipped. In addition, rep stated my unit was just delivered to Drew, Florida waiting to be unloaded. Destination is Ferman Chevy in Tarpon Springs (some 30 or 40 miles away roughly). The TPW was 6-20 with a production date of 6-23. I would not fully trust that info the GM chat rep provided to you regarding that 10 to 12 week delay.

Well congrats on your 4800 unload status. Never even heard of Drew, FL. My truck was the same 6/23 date as yours. It was the escalation rep who told me that the truck is incomplete. She was unable to pull it up in VINview.

Coincidentally I checked my dealers site after speaking with GM and an exact build like mine just popped up on their site with a WS. I called the escalation team back and some woman was able to see that one on a railcar in VINview headinf to FL.

I contacted the dealership to see if I could apply my down payment towards that one as it is actually being shipped and am now waiting a call back from the sales manager tomorrow morning. Just an awful experience so far. I emailed Mary Barra and I'm sure someone chuckled after reading it then probably marked it as junk.

I think I get more frustrated with GM everyday. The constant change in what they say is ridiculous. My resolution team guy named Chris, called finally on Friday, after going silent for almost 2 months on me and said my Yukon was just waiting on shipping. But yet my dealer told me 3 weeks ago its waiting on a ECM and he assured me it is not. I reached out to my dealer and he told me he doesn't know where this guy gets his info because it is not ready. So the wait continues since it was moved to the Midlothian lot on 4/19.

I do have a question if anyone is able to answer. If a truck shows up on the dealer website as "in transit" and has a window sticker, that truck is produced already correct? When talking to him again today, I just asked him why so many Yukons like mine keep coming on the site and several that are much higher Vin's than mine and he told me that GM just puts them on there and they are not even produced yet... But they have a window sticker? I don't even have a window sticker yet!

I’m almost 100% sure that having a window sticker means that the car is fully competed ; it has all the parts and isn’t waiting on a chip , etc . It defiantly appears that orders with a window sticker seem to be moving quicker in general to their destination than those without

This is great news!!! Hope you get your Tahoe asap! As for the email and the chuckle, I'd agree with that. Call that dealership again tomorrow morning! I'm actually excited for you, lol. Please report back once you get that Tahoe home :)

Per United Road I am now updated to Pending Pick Up. Any day now for me. For those with similar TPW (6-20-2022) and production (6-23-2022) there is light at the end of the tunnel!

Put in my VIN and it came back with a load # and destination of my dealer, doesn't say where it is currently, but seems to be on a truck heading to my dealer. Got to be a good sign.

Hey, can I ask what makes you think its heading to the dealer? What was the last status you heard? My dealer says mine is in Arlington waiting for dispatch but its jumped a few codes in the past week.

Dealer told me it was loaded on a truck with an ETA around 7/12 and my vin comes up in the United Road transport site with a load # and destination of my dealer. Never asked for any of the codes or exact current location. I can't imagine that it would go to another yard or anywhere near a train and get to the east coast in 2 weeks. I could see it changing trailers a few times before it arrives. I think it would be more like 2 months out if going by rail. My dealer hasn't BS'd or sugar coated anything to this point so mostly on faith and hope at this point I guess. I'll keep you posted.
Well, mine showed up today. I had just looked up the United Road info and it gave me a delivery ticket that said delivered at 12:43 today. Got an email from my dealer that it was here about 15 minutes later. Will be picking up on Wednesday. Hang in there all, there is hope!

That’s what I thought too, until my window sticker finally became available on 6/24 (produced on 5/19) but we’re coming up on a month with WS and 0 movement…

Yup , someone way back in this thread said his starting shipping a month after the sticker became available . Mine took roughly 3 weeks after sticker produced until it started moving

This window sticker matter is tricky. My Rig never appeared on my dealers site or Chevys site with a "In Transit" status. At stage 4300 at this moment.

Does yours have a sticker ?

My vehicle has been shipped and is in Indianapolis almost to its destination Michigan and should be there by next Monday , but has never once appeared on the dealer or gmc site ever. It’s like it doesn’t exist . If I type in the vin in the gmc site it gives no results .

The window sticker is available however . My sticker appeared early July using this site

believe that dealers can mark them as "sold" and that'll remove it off both their website and GM's....

ours sat out on the website for a month, and then disappeared the day it hit the dealer's lot...we didn't pick it up/actually buy it until 5-6 days later...

think it all depends on what the dealer's objective is...try and drive traffic to the website and get people to call in and switch them to a used vehicle or get them to order one....or do they want to completely avoid all the people calling/emailing

This is why my frustration is growing! When I questioned him on it, he said nope it isn't produced yet, just GM putting it on his website and wouldn't give me a response after.

I am happy people are actually getting theirs shipped to them and seeing movement. But us that have been sitting waiting for our vehicles produced several months ago is just depressing!

It’s always been my understanding that they don’t show up as in transit on the dealer or Chevy site until they are completely ready to go and have a window sticker. And that status 4300 is often times code for “waiting for a chip”.

Maybe I don’t know what I’m talking about but it seems like there are two kinds of delays - missing chips and actual shipping delays. Missing chips are “produced” with a VIN but have no WS. The ones with actual shipping delays are produced with a VIN and window sticker and legitimately waiting for a ride.
