I looked, doesn't look like anyone's asked this, but, I'm new and probably not using the right terminology..

I want to take the middle row captain's chairs out of my 2019 Denali. I've pulled back the carpet, found two 18mm nuts (GM did good with the stud design on these!) but, I'm following under the carpet what feels like a tail on the chair mount that extends all the way back and under the plate just forward of the anchor in the middle of the cabin floor on each side. Is that right?

In any case, I'd like to temporarily take the seats out for more cargo space (upcoming nuptials), which is to say, make room for two big dogs.

Is it really just the two bolts that hold these in? What's all involved? Do I need to pull a ton of the carpet up to get the chairs out?

I can't say for sure, but it does seem like you would have at least 4 bolts holding each seat down.

It honestly looked like a whole chore.

In order to make room for the dogs, I ended up zip tieing the pull strap on the seat to the headrest post on each front seat. I had found that one of the seats was coming back down on acceleration, and needed a solution, and that was what I came up with.

Yeah, I've one that drops down occasionally. It is probably that piston in the bottom of the back of the seat that needs to be replaced.
