I am deciding between an LTZ and a Z71 Tahoe. I am planning a 2/3 drop, sway bars and 24's. From a modding perspective, is there any advantages/disadvantages to starting with an LTZ or a Z71? Does autoride play an issue?
Thanks.

I would do an LTZ. I think they are easier to drop. You shouldnt have a problem with the Autoride and a 2/3. Past that you may have a problem.

Def. do an LTZ, with the Autoride feature, which just about all LTZs have, you can only do a 2/3, lower heights will involve extensive mods.

If you can afford an LTZ, buy an LTZ especially if you are looking to lower it and put big wheels on. I guess it is mostly personal preference, but I am not a fan of the Z71's unless you are lifting it.
