If they used the stock ones it will just ride on them or if they are close to the pads now you can cut off some of the yellow lower part and will give you more clearance. Just need to know how much space we have to work with.

I think I understand. Btw, I just looked in the boxes with the parts they took off my truck and the old dirty reddish ones are in there so I assume the new yellow ones were installed.

I'll go out in the morning and try to measure what you asked, I hope I can squeeze under there to do it.

no problem and for the front once you get it aligned will be fine.

in rear honestly belltech street performance shocks will help it out. the 5305 is a proven spring to ride good so we just need to get this all dialed in :)

it will just will need new rear shocks if worse comes to worse.

my djm 3/5.5 kit another guys (68 years old) put it in over the weekend and loves the ride had a 2/3 mcgaughys on it before wanted it lower and ride better. He keps the mcgaughys shocks in then wanted teh belltechs over nighted and put those in today and said the ride he cant complain at all.

Ok well first things first ... :) let me:

1. Measure that space you asked and see if anything is wrong with the installation.
2. Get her aligned.
3. Figure out how to trim the front liner (some instructions would be greatly appreciated).

See how she rides after all that, and if more stuff like shocks or anything else is needed, we'll deal with it. :waytogo:

And thank you all so much for helping me out.

lol

Not sure what's going to happen yet ... I was too busy today to get anything done, so tomorrow I'll get her aligned and measure. Then we'll take it from there.

you could always donate that to the Wilwood 4-piston Rear Brake Caliper Coalition... just sayin.

Unfortunately that money has been appropriated to the Hybrid Warranty Coalition Fund ... if there's anything left over I'm all over the pretty brake fund.

Sure ... it's 34" on both rears and 33.5" on both fronts.

With that ride height (but not knowing your tire height), I bet the crappy ride is due to the rear bumpstops, as in they need to go away. Actually, that's not quite true. You should cut the entire bracket off the frame rails as shown elsewhere on this forum.

I understand that you aren't doing your own install work, so if the shop that did the install can't/won't handle this, try looking for a body shop that does a lot of custom work. A Sawzall, cut-off wheel and an air chisel make it fairly painless. They'll look at you cross-wise when you tell them what you want done, but once they look closely at it, they'll get it.

Losing these bumpstops will make a tremendous improvement in ride quality. My 2007 2WD Tahoe is at 31.75" front, 33.25" rear on stock-size 275/55/20s and it rides fantastic. I carried about 600 pounds of cargo in it yesterday, and no bottoming at all.

I'll do a bit of a write-up on it soon. I haven't taken decent photos yet, but I should have my wheels on it in the next day or two.

i use a 8 inch sawzall blade and cut along the frame rail takes 5 minutes per side

I assume that then you back and "box in" what was just cut out?
