Been a while since ive posted or given any updates on my Tahoe, I am now lowered with a 3/5 drop. Since this photo I have removed spare tire and that raised a bit, so it does sit a little higher than this photo (removed for other reasons).

What I am curious about is if anyone that is dropped has subs? Ive seen YouTube videos and such but most YouTubers with these dont respond to questions.

I doubt I'll do more than 2 12s or one thick 15 but the 12s or 15 I want to go with comes with some weight. Dropping with subs would be new to me, usually go one route or the other, so im wondering about the extra weight in the back and how it handles on bumps and such. I do know that what drop kits and such used can change that, just would more like to hear peoples experience that have dropped these with a system.

Any advice from people with this experience is appreciated!

Thanks

well if the current suspension can't handle a 100lbs extra weight in the rear then it needs a serious looking at, otherwise it should be of zero concern
The sub ive been wanting to go with is 72lbs alone, than the battery is usually use from XS power is about 80lbs, than box weight an such, but there are tons of other ways I could do the box and batteries, ive seen some super heavy systems on YouTube on lowered Tahoes but was curious what others with a 3/5 drop are running for systems if so. I love how this drop rides, just took it two and half hours away from home to 3 different cities and parks, but thats what I dont want to mess up is the smoother ride just because I over did the weight in the back.

it shouldn't affect anything, if you think it might throw some sandbags back there and go for a drive

A single 15 shouldn’t change anything at all, unless the lowering springs are absolutely junk. Even 2 big 15’s shouldn’t really change much

This is what happens when you have a 6 15 wall. Turns a 6” drop spring into a 10” drop lol
