I managed to cut a deal. On it for 2700 truck is sweet. High milage, but it is really good serviced.
What do you think?
Total fan of it! I bought my 01 with 280k on it and it didn’t have even 1/10th of the records you have and I beat on it for a year and 15k miles before it had issues. This is a nice… NICE truck with the 8.1 and 4.10. You got yourself a killer deal because of you drive it for a year or two and clean it up a bit it will be worth $2800. Great buy and you will love it.

Here we go picked it up yesterday. I need to figure out how to eliminate opening noise on back doors. Rear driver side wi doesn't go down. When button is pressed it makes some noise for a sec and then nothing. Window is not moving. Pump is making a bit of noise. I will fix it when it will be warmer. I want to change shocks for more comfortable ride (what shocks would you recommend?). Later on after threads will go down I will swap out wheels. I think 20 or 22 , but for now can't find anything that will fit.

I have the Rancho 9000 adjustable and I like them. Not expensive either. Highly recommend and can be bought on RockAuto.

Don’t do 20s. Will sacrifice ride comfort. Stick with 18s.

The window is likely the regulator. I think those are known to go out. I think there are several threads talking about it.

Thanks for informing. By the way I will need to swap out towing mirrors. They are automatic, but only with adjustment. I want to make them fold automatically. Do you happen to know how to do it? I saw some on Amazon for $100 with automatic folding, but how to make it work with my Yukon XL, I have no idea.

Ooo… adding folding… not 100% sure for your gen but I think it can be added with the correct mirror switch. I did not have power fold on my Sub like yours but I’m sure someone here will be able to help more!

Got and abs light. But it glows steadily not flashing. I hooked up a scant tool. Appears to be front wheel speed sensor. I ordered it from Rockauto already. Should be by the end of the week. Also I would need an oil change. Sometimes light is on sometimes it is not. I think I will do both of them at mechanic shop. It's not a complicated job. I will have to use to this truck. It's huge, but still not as huge as my Sprinter. I will add top view rear camera and parking sensors to it. And also will remove rear bumper. I will install Street Pan roll. And modify the towing hitch. Those few inches play a lot in NYC.

Have someone tried These wheel adapters. I can't find budget wheels for 8x165.1 maybe I could get lucky with 8x180. Looks like my truck has factory 2 inch lift. So I should be good with 20 inch rims. I'm not planning to install huge 33" or 35" just a bit more stylish rims. Tell me what you think

Currently, there are no power FOLDING or EXTENDING mirrors for our generation of truck. I have a friend who is supposed to be engineering him, but there is one project ahead of this he's working on.

Ok, that was an accidental lie. There is one company I just remembered (but not their name), and I'll dig them up if you want me too. I forgot about them, sorry.

I can't say about the Yukon XL / Suburban 2500 ride, but 20s on the 2500 HD did not mess up the ride for me.

Don't forget your roof rack! That will hold some of your stuff.

The towing hitch relies on the two bolts run through the bumper for stability/strength. If you go to a roll pan, you will want to switch out hitches entirely.

Also, check your grounds. That could be causing the ABS light to randomly turn on/off as well.

Congratulations on your purchase!

I advise AGAINST going for adapters. There are plenty of rims out there for the 2010- GM, 8 lug trucks. You could even get some oem takeoffs -- from RAM!!! -- from 2024/2025. RAM and 2010- GM 8 lug trucks run the same 8x 165.1. How do I know? Check the vehicles in my sig. :Big Laugh:

I got the wheels for my truck off of FN Marketplace. They are Xtreme Mudder wheels.

I think I paid $300 for them; they are 20s. I did have to replace the caps, which -- for Xtreme Mudder -- were $49.99 EACH. I found Moto Metal wheel caps for $19.99 each, and they fit like a champ. I did have to get new bolts to hold the caps down, though.

Now I have wheel locks on the rims, plus secure torx holding the caps on. None of that will stop a dedicated thief, but it will take him forever to get them all off.

Who may assist with issue. I have steady glowing park brake light. When parking brake is applied it flashes then ( I think it is normal when it flashes) . Brake fluid level seems to be ok. Can it be brake fluid sensor, or some ground?
