Is anyone running a EverStart Battery from Wal-Mart? If so, what size will fit in a 2007 Yukon? I am debating between the Optima batteries and the EverStart. Thanks in advance. I tried the search function, but did not find much.
My factory delco battery lost a cell this fall. My local battery specialist told me that the blue top Optima with the dark grey case (750 CCA) is hands down the best battery for our late model Yukons with the many electronics onboard. I happened to have a blue top in my 5th wheel that I swapped to my Yukon. It seems to be working well. 0 problems. I don't have a block heater in my Yukon and it still starts and spins over fast even in the 0 to -20 degree weather that we've seen this winter. I really don't think you can go wrong with the Optima. The factory battery cable ends on the Yukon aren't ideal for the Optima and it takes a little tinkering to get them set right.
On another note, I have two everstarts in my 97 powerstroke. I'm not sure how old they are as they were in the truck when I bought it. I've had no issues with either of those batteries either in the past 18 months that I've owned the truck.
