Oh yeah I forgot, you can put a spacer under an oem type strut with no lights on dash...
That’s what I’m looking to do. Ride should be factory quality with the arnott setup is what I hear.

Fox 2.0 coilover setup is not super expensive and is a very nice upgrade. Ride quality is excellent. I run the setup with a small spacer in the rear. The coilovers come preset for the maximum 2" lift/level.

Are those heavy duty rock sliders you have on that? If so who made them?
These are not extremely heavy duty rock sliders. They do however have a tube that drops down a little below the chassis, and one that extends out wider than the body which offer protection against damage to both the bottom and side of the vehicle. They are not super heavy duty but they are very sturdy and i'd rather damage these than the actual truck itself. These bolt in the stock positions of the factory steps and come with hardware to mount them. They feel very secure and well made. I did a ton of research and could not find out of the box true rock sliders made for these Tahoe's. There are universal rock sliders and brackets I found to fab to bolt on or weld onto the chassis rails. I had removed the stock z71 side steps because I think they're worthless (offer zero protection) and ugly. I would just leave them off and weld low profile custom sliders on except I have three very young children that can't get in and out of the truck without the side steps. I decided to look for better looking ones that suit my taste and actually offered some protection and these were my favorite. They are the Tyger Star Armor side steps:

Thanks James, They do look good but, I see what you mean they are not slider strong but, they would give better protection than nothing. I have the automatic ones on mine now and my wife loves them. So I might have to make something that will be strong enough hitting big rocks and still have an auto step in it.
